If your trade appears to be frozen or is not moving, the most common reason is that the market for that instrument is currently closed.
Many financial markets operate during specific trading hours and may close during weekends, public holidays or scheduled trading breaks. While the market is closed, prices will not update and open positions will not show any movement until trading resumes.
Other possible reasons include:
Market Closure
The instrument you are trading is currently outside of its trading hours.
Low Market Activity
Certain instruments may experience very little price movement during quiet market periods, making it appear as though the trade is not moving.
Price Feed or Connection Issues
A poor internet connection or temporary platform connectivity issue may prevent prices from updating correctly within MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
Trading Halt or Instrument Restriction
In rare cases, an instrument may be temporarily suspended or restricted due to market events, corporate actions or exchange requirements.
To check whether a market is open, review the instrument specifications within MT5 or refer to the relevant market trading hours. If prices are updating but your position is not showing significant changes, it may simply be due to limited market volatility.
If you believe your trade should be moving and the issue persists, please contact Kudo Support and provide your trading account number, the instrument being traded and a screenshot of the issue.
