You can close an open trade on MetaTrader 5 (MT5) at any time while the market for that instrument is open.

How to Close a Trade on MT5

1. Open MetaTrader 5 and log in to your Kudo trading account.
2. Navigate to the Trade tab, where your open positions are displayed.
3. Select the position you wish to close.
4. Right-click the position (desktop) or tap the position (mobile).
5. Select Close Position.
6. Review the trade details.
7. Confirm the closure to close the trade at the current market price.

Once the trade has been closed, it will move from the Trade tab to your Account History, where you can view the opening price, closing price, profit or loss and other trade details.

Please note that closing a trade manually will realise any floating profit or loss and update your account balance accordingly.

You can also use Stop Loss and Take Profit orders to automatically close trades when predetermined price levels are reached, helping you manage risk even when you are away from the platform.
